1977 Pitts Special S2A

A rare opportunity to purchase our own immaculate Pitts Special S2A. The aircraft used to be registered G-HISS and was famous on the airshow circuit in the 1980’s with its very striking paint scheme. The airframe underwent a nut and bolt restoration in 2008 where everything was replaced with new. The engine and propeller were zero timed and new fabric and paint applied by Ian Searson. This is still an immaculate Pitts all these years later and is a testament to the workmanship that went into the rebuild. The aircraft has always been hangared and maintained at a combination of ATS at Wycombe and Aircraft Restoration company at Duxford. Only operated from tarmac runways and not used for training. Personal ownership for standard level aeros. Flown regularly, 3 hours per week. Steady oil pressure and great compressions. Priced for a quick sale to take advantage of an S1T currently on offer.
